Meet Lori Eckhardt Myofunctional therapist
Helping Buffalo Breathe, Sleep & Thrive
Hi, I’m Lori Eckhardt, a licensed orofacial myofunctional therapist and registered dental hygienist with over 30 years of experience in healthcare. I founded Buffalo Myo with a mission to help families breathe better, sleep deeper, and live healthier through compassionate, personalized care.
My Journey into Myofunctional Therapy
My passion for this work began through my own family’s journey—when my daughter, who has Down Syndrome, struggled with breathing and sleep challenges, I began to explore the connections between oral function and whole-body health. What I learned changed our lives—and inspired me to help others find the same hope and healing.
What I Do at Buffalo Myo
At Buffalo Myo, I work with children, teens, and adults who struggle with mouth breathing, tongue-ties, tongue thrust, TMJ pain, sleep issues, and more. I create customized therapy plans that retrain the muscles of the face and mouth to promote healthy breathing, posture, and function.
My practice is centered around the latest research and practices in the myofunctional field, and Breath Works for children and adults of all abilities.
